Cabot Aviation (“Cabot”), part of the Air Partner group and a leading aircraft remarketing broker, is pleased to announce that it has been appointed by Kenya Airways as its exclusive remarketing agent for four B777-200ERs.

The aircraft, which hold the serial numbers 33681, 33682, 33683 and 36124, were all delivered new to Kenya Airways between 2004 and 2007 and have been operated on its scheduled routes. The aircraft are powered by Rolls Royce Trent 892B engines and are currently configured with 28 business and 294 economy seats.

Kenya Airways is the flag carrier of Kenya and was founded in 1977. It has its headquarters in Nairobi and operates a fleet of 46 aircraft, including B777s, B787s, B737s, E190s and E170s.

The appointment continues a successful year for Cabot; earlier this year it was also appointed by China Airlines as its exclusive remarketing broker in the sale of two B747-400s and one A340-300 aircraft, and it has also arranged the purchase of a B757-200ER airframe on behalf of AJW Aviation.

Commenting on the appointment, Tony Whitty, CEO and founder of Cabot Aviation, said: "We are delighted to have been appointed by Kenya Airways as its exclusive remarketing agent. This tops off an excellent few months for Cabot, in which a number of transactions are nearing completion, and we are looking forward to using our expertise to deliver the best result for Kenya Airways."

Cabot is a specialist aircraft remarketing company and acts for airlines, banks, lessors and other aircraft owners to help them sell or lease any surplus commercial jets, turboprops, helicopters or corporate jets. Other Cabot clients have included Cyprus Airways, British Midland, Cargolux, Daimler-Chrysler, KLM, DVB Bank, Halifax Bank of Scotland and Rolls-Royce Aircraft Management.

Cabot is part of Air Partner group of companies, after Air Partner acquired the business in May of this year. It continues to be run by its founders Malcolm Holt and Tony Whitty and holds responsibility for all aircraft remarketing globally within Air Partner.
