What is ACMI?
Aircraft. Crew. Maintenance. Insurance. An aircraft leasing arrangement exclusively used between two airlines whereby one airline (the lessor) provides an aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance (ACMI) to another airline (the lessee), which then pays for the hours operated. The lessee provides fuel and covers airport and overflight charges, and any other duties, taxes, etc.
