Feast In An Ancient Tuscan Church

Exclusively for guests of La Bandita, we are able to offer an unforgettable wine & private dining experience in the ancient family church of a nearby Medieval stronghold where the hills were reclaimed from nature to vineyard. These slopes were once long ago submerged below sea level, and the mineral enriched soil creates the uniquely propertied grape crop that has become the acclaimed Sesti wines of Castello di Argiano.

As you sip Brunello for dinner you can be amused by the quirky and creative link between Chateau Mouton Rothschild and Sesti. Both have a tradition of creative commemorative labels as a special marque for each year. 

The dinner will be a sumptuous traditional Tuscan feast of wonderful food and Sesti wine pairings in the most atmospheric of settings in this ancient stone church, it’s unexpectedly giant candelabra and romantic candle light reflecting off the frescoes.

Then, if you wish, we can really take you to church, with an extra specially arranged live performance by local traditional folk singers Il Cardellini and their unique song of Tuscan stories from a world that almost no longer exists except through these performances.
