Malaga has an abundance of history, is culturally rich with access to chic boutiques, waterfront dining and many beaches to choose from. The so-called ‘mile of art’ is now comparable to Madrid with new museums opening and access to Picasso and Thyssen museums, as well as the contemporary Centre Pompidou. There is an ever-growing influx of new Michelin star restaurants and fine dining, meaning that Malaga’s cuisine offering is now competing with that of cosmopolitan Barcelona. If you are not one for art, then why not head to the plentiful array of chic boutiques, gastrobars, cool cafés or trendy Soho where you can enjoy the Mediterranean vibe. Malaga stays relatively warm through December and January so you can relax and kickback outside even through the winter months. If you have not visited in a while, you will be amazed at how much Malaga now has to offer. Average temperature over the winter months is 14 degrees.
