Important warning for shareholders: false offers for shares

It has come to our attention that approaches have been made to some individuals who hold shares in Air Partner plc, concerning a proposed offer for their shares. The approaches appear to come from a US company or law firm and may be made by telephone, email or by fax. Shareholders have been asked to provide personal information and proof of their shareholding and to sign agreements relating to a proposed purchase of shares.

Air Partner has not received any requests for a copy of its share register and has not released any shareholder information to any US firm.  We therefore believe these approaches to be false. We would advise shareholders to be cautious of any unsolicited approaches and to take note of the following advice provided by the Financial Services Authority: http://www.fsa.gov.uk/consumerinformation/scamsandswindles/investment_scams/boiler_room/

Unsolicited Investment Advice

There have been a number of cases recently where shareholders of larger companies have received unsolicited letters claiming to offer financial advice. You should be aware that it is legally possible for anyone to obtain a copy of a share register and to use shareholders’ addresses for marketing purposes.  This is not sanctioned in any way by the Company and we would always recommend that such letters should be ignored. The Financial Services Authority advises all shareholders to be very wary of any unsolicited investment advice and to report cases to them, either by calling 0845 606 1234 or by email to consumer.queries@fsa.gov.uk.

Too much paper?

We understand that not all shareholders want to receive paper copies of the Annual Report and other corporate documents.  You can register your email address on the corporate portal maintained for us by Link Asset Services so that we communicate with you electronically. This is quicker and avoids unnecessary use of paper. We will not sell your email details or release them to any third party for marketing purposes.

You will be notified by email when the Annual Report or other documents are available on the corporate website, you can appoint a proxy electronically so that your votes are counted at any general meetings and you can arrange to have dividend payments mandated so that dividends go straight into your bank account.

To register, log on to the corporate portal at https://www.signalshares.com/ and enter “Air Partner plc” in the “Company” box. You will need your investor code (IVC), which is printed at the top of your share certificate and on other documents such as dividend tax vouchers.

Once the Registrars have activated your account, you will be able to access details of your shareholding online at any time.
