Private jet travel favoured among wealthy home buyers looking for properties overseas

International home buyers are increasingly looking to private air charters to source high-end properties across Europe, according to Air Partner, the leading global aviation company. Air Partner says bookings by high-flying clients using private jets to find and buy overseas properties are 15 per cent higher this year alone, compared to last year.

According to the UK's leading independent real estate consultancy, Knight Frank, 2017 saw positive or static annual price growth in two-thirds of 100 luxury residential markets tracked in Knight Frank's Prime International Residential Index (PIRI).

The latest results of the PIRI 100 index, which analyses the performance of the world's leading prime second home and city residential markets, confirms the extent to which Europe is seeing positive growth after a decade of weak results.

Four of the top 10 performing cities were in Europe including Amsterdam where property prices rose by 15 per cent in the year, Frankfurt (12.9 per cent), Paris (12 per cent) and Madrid (10.6 per cent).
