We are looking for an experienced Finance IT Project Manager for a 1 year fixed term contract to work in collaboration with the project team to take responsibility for the end to end delivery of a global finance transformation programme.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (Project Sponsor) you will be accountable for creating a cost effective and efficient Group wide Shared Service Finance Function in line with the Group Technology Operating Model.
You will need to work closely with key stakeholders, including the Chief Financial Officer and the project steering group (made up of the wider Finance Team, Group Technology and key Business Stakeholders) to develop a transformation programme that is evolutionary in design, optimising existing systems (Navision, D365 Booking tool and CRM) and resources, whilst developing the three year strategic blueprint.
What you will be doing:
- Project managing the finance transformation programme
- Identifying stakeholder requirements; scoping projects/ initiatives; producing detailed plans; providing management information and status reports
- Ensuring the proposed solutions align to the three-strategy and fit the needs of the business in terms of quality, functionality and overall integrity
- Taking responsibility for multiple workstreams
- Arranging weekly finance meeting agendas, recording and documenting all meetings, leading calls and project reporting via a weekly tracker
- Ensuring strong governance of the project, including collation of supporting documentation and managing / running senior level project meetings
- Planning and controlling the project, using the appropriate planning tools and templates, showing activities, phases, milestones and dependencies etc.
- Ensuring interdependencies are identified and managed and that the team are motivated and achieve their objectives on time and within budget
- Identifying and analysing the end to end business processes and producing detailed process flow documentation alongside business requirement and functional design documents
- Obtaining authorisation/ sign off/ commitment to the project as required and determining cross functional dependencies, working with the relevant departments to co-ordinate the prioritised activities
- Communicating any issues impacting the project to the wider project team, escalating as necessary
- Establishing regular and structured communication with all project team members
- Keeping control of the cost of delivery of the project and evidencing the return on investment of decisions and change requests
- Identifying and sourcing cost effective/ creative solutions to problems
- Managing risk with appropriate action planning to mitigate risks and to resolve issues
- Ensuring quality controls are in place to minimise reworking and to ensure delivery to the requirements
- Considering all onboarding aspects of the delivery, including hand over to the business as usual team (BAU) with the appropriate processes in place, training delivered, agreement on defects / workarounds remaining and actions required post implementation
- Ensuring proper project closure to ensure effective BAU operation of the changes, including providing audit evidence and feeding back post implementation reviews to the department
What we are looking for:
- Relevant industry experience desirable – aviation, finance services
- Microsoft experience - Dynamics 365 essential
- Experience of leading, implementing and integrating Finance Transformation Programmes
- Strong customer management skills
- A confident and assertive communicator
- Good experience liaising with senior stakeholders, including C-level
- Global projects experience
- A proven track record in managing teams and overseeing deliveries
- A good track record of successfully delivering projects on time and to budget
- Accreditation in appropriate methodologies (e.g. PRINCE or Agile)
- Extensive experience in governance standards, processes and methodologies
- A proven track-record of delivering complex initiatives across full project lifecycles
- Extensive and varied software delivery experience
