Private Jets Trading Manager

We are looking for a Private Jets Trading Manager, fluent in both English and Italian to join our Milan office as soon as possible.  You will not only to deliver gross profit and client numbers using your broking skills, but you will also be a first-rate manager who can help and support the Private Jets Director to create a market leading Private Jets team that will deliver innovative solutions to clients across the globe.

What you will be doing: 

- Demonstrating success by generating GP & new business for the department through your experience, effective broking techniques and relationship management  

- Assisting the Director with the execution of the European Private Jet strategy  

- Assisting with and motivating your team to build and improve external relationships with clients, operators and other suppliers

- Leading by example and coaching, developing and mentoring the less experienced individuals within the team 

- Maintaining a positive profile within the PJ team and throughout the Group

- Ensuring company procedures and controls (both trading and people orientated) are complied with in accordance with the company policies, managing risk to minimise exposure

- Deputising for the Director of Private Jets where required

- Providing direct management to the Account Managers including performance reviews, development plans, and day-to-day guidance

- Encouraging teamwork within the existing team and across all Group offices

- Supporting the recruitment process of trainees into the team

- Developing/ managing a trainees training program ensuring there are milestones at key points to demonstrate that they are able to become fully fledged brokers within a 12 month period, providing succession planning within the broking team

- Mentoring the trainees as part of their support to the broking team

What we are looking for:

- Previous experience as a broker / account manager / sales manager / business development manager in either Private Jets (PJ) Chartering, Yachts or Travel / Hospitality 

- Fluency in both English and Italian

- A good understanding of air charter broking and the changing markets both in operators and clients

- Comprehensive knowledge of the PJ business and working knowledge of our competitors 

- Clear understanding of appropriate systems, procedures and flight standards

- An ability to help implement the departmental strategy in a collaborative manner

- The ability to communicate clearly and concisely both internally and externally

- A hard working individual with considerable drive, determination and a results driven mentality

- Numerate, efficient and accurate with a logical approach to problem solving  

- The ability to challenge the views of others in a constructive and positive way

- An ability to invest time to build relationships and networks up, down and across the organisation; sharing ideas and knowledge

- An ability to lead by example and communicate to your direct reports to ensure positive buy-in

- Previous managerial experience
