Registered charity number 1079049
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity dedicated to fighting for a life unlimited for everyone affected by cystic fibrosis. We have dedicated ourselves to promoting excellence in research and clinical care, as well as providing practical support and advice at a local level to people living with the condition and those that care for them.
Fundraising Manager for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Claire Phillips said: “On behalf of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust I would like to express our immense gratitude to Air Partner for choosing us as their national charity for 2018.
Cystic fibrosis is a life shortening genetic condition but most people with it look perfectly healthy. Despite this, it’s a lifelong challenge involving a vast daily intake of drugs, time-consuming physiotherapy and isolation from others with the condition. It places a huge burden on those around them and the condition can critically escalate at any moment.
Sadly, half of all people who died with the condition last year were under the age of 31, although this is rising thanks to people receiving an earlier diagnosis, better medical treatment and advances in medicine. By fundraising for us the team at Air Patrol will be making a real difference to the lives of those living with the condition and the people who care for them.”

Head of corporate relations at KSSAA, Julie Clare, said: “We are delighted that Air Partner has selected The Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance as their new chosen charity. We look forward to working closely with the team and supporting any fundraising initiatives during the year ahead. . The money raised by staff at Air Partner will make a big difference to the charity that is funded almost entirely by donations with each life- saving mission costing approximately £2,500.00 – The charity needs to raise £6.5million each year to keep the service operational".
